ARTIST OF THE MONTH: Cobra Starship

Cobra Starship is a pop-punk and synthpop band formed in 2005 by the lead singer and bassist of the defunct Midtown, Gabe Saporta

They are known for their songs Snakes on a Plane (Bring It) from the album While the City Sleeps, We Rule the Streets, The City Is at War and Guilty Pleasure from the album ¡Viva La Cobra!, Good Girls Go Bad from the Hot Mess album, and You Make Me Feel… from the Night Shades album.

Cobra Starship lasted a full decade, releasing four albums; during his career, they charted in the top 10 in the US with the singles Good Girls Go Bad with Leighton Meester and You Make Me Feel… with Sabi.

The last song the band released was Never Being In Love by Icona Pop, which can be a preview of their next upcoming album.

Surprisingly, last December, I received an unreleased song from the vault called Party With You, accompanied by a very retro-inspired music video that was released via Fueled By Ramen.

Guaranteeing the disputed artist of the month title that doesn’t go to anyone, be sure to check the video and stay tuned for more.
