Legend Sounds: EARSHOT

Hailing from Los Angeles, California, Earshot is an American Nu-Metal band formed in 1999 when Wil Martin on vocals was in Los Angeles with the guitarist Scott Kohler, Guy Couturier on bass, and Todd Wyatt on drums.

The band released three albums, Letting Go in 2002, Two in 2004, and The Silver Lining in 2008, as well as the extended play Aftermath in 2015.

Influenced by Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Metallica, Thin Lizzy, U2, and Soundgarden, in 2001, the band signed with Warner Bros. Records.

They performed with Alien Ant Farm, Adema, and Glassjaw during the SnoCore Rock Tour in early 2002.

The songs Get Away, We Fall, We Stand, and Headstrong were included in the 2002 video game Legends of Wrestling II for PlayStation 2, GameCube, and Xbox.

While the song Headstrong was used in the soundtrack of the movie Queen of the Damned.

The band’s second album, Two, was released on June 22, 2004, and it includes the breakthrough hit Wait that appeared in the 2004 video games Madden NFL 2005 and 2005 MX vs. ATV Unleashed.

In the same year, the band opened for Megadeth, and in early 2007, they signed with Indegoot/Fontana/Universal Recordings and began work on a new album produced by Brian Garcia and co-produced by Wil Martin.

Recently they released You + I just on the valentines days, which obviously sounds like a love song that seems a little different subject from the famous hits from the band, keeping the same energy in the instrumental progression.

I used to listen to them when I was a teen, and I am very grateful to be receiving those types of submissions personally; the reason why we have this new session called Legend Sounds!
